Very nice and beautiful. New rooms, good staff and perfect breckfast! Good price compared with other hotels near.
The room was modern and spacious, the design is well-thought and the materials, bed covers and so on have all been chosen carefully and with care.
Good wifi connection, excellent restaurants, cafes and bars in town, all well-within walking distance. The surrounding area has some breath-taking scenery.
And there are several nice beaches a short drive away. Levadia is definitely a hidden gem in Greece. The bathroom was clean and had its own window.
The breakfast is ok but nothing special. Bed and pillows are very good. The stuff is friendly. A basic hotel that fitted the bill, clean and friendly with its own parking in the next street.
Everything it was perfect. Right in heart of city! The hotel is in fact divided into two areas, that corresponds to two hotel categories.
The pictures you see in the page are the true 4 stars, but there are like 10 rooms per floor that are not renovated and corresponds to the category you expect for a hostel.
Where is the trick?! Nothing of these you can guess it when booking! So you have the surprise when you enter the room The room it was not as expected.
The window from the bathroom was not completely sealed, so the air could come into the room compensated with the heating system The shower of the toilet didn't have curtain, so the water ended in the floor of the bathroom.
The bed, even it was very big, it was not precisely comfortable. Good place for resting in your travel between Nafplio and Delfi. We spotted some maintenance issues and blemishes such as broken patio door handle and some of the lights did not work.
We reported them to reception and we have no doubts these will be fixed soon. Helpful and friendly staff, upgraded us our room to superior for an excellent price we had booked a room in the older section of the hotel, the reception staff recommended that we stay at the refurbished section.
The rooms were very hot upon our arrival and took quite a long tone to cool down. It was at night bedtime , so I wish they had cooked the rooms down since they knew we were arriving,.
Slight delay in responses to messages. The location and service were excellent. The air-condition unit in our room doesn't works and we spent a nightmare night.
They have other kind of decent refurbished rooms at higher prices but the pictures they are showing are only of these rooms. A very nice breakfast.
Aircon is a joke. Nothing you can do about it. Too much smoking in public areas by staff and people who appear to be living in the hotel.
In need of a review of its star rating. More like a 2 star. Noisy barking dogs and much traffic. The hotel is very nice , the breakfast was ample, very central for our trip.

The municipality of Livadeia covers an area of The municipality Livadeia was formed at the local government reform by the merger of the following 5 former municipalities, that became municipal units constituent communities in brackets: The community Livadeia consists of the following outlying settlements besides the town itself: Agios Nikolaos Livadeias pop: In antiquity, Lebadeia was a town near the western frontier of ancient Boeotia , described by Strabo as lying between Mount Helicon and Chaeroneia.
Pausanias relates that this height was originally occupied by the Homeric city of Mideia , from whence the inhabitants, under the conduct of Lebadus , an Athenian , migrated into the plain, and founded there the city named after him.
Lebadeia was originally an insignificant place, but it rose into importance in consequence of its possessing the celebrated oracle of Trophonius.
The oracle was consulted both by Croesus and by Mardonius , and it continued to be consulted even in the time of Plutarch , when all the other oracles in Boeotia had become dumb.
But notwithstanding the sanctity of the oracle, Lebadeia did not always escape the ravages of war. When Pausanias visited Lebadeia in the 2nd century, he recorded numerous temples.
Still higher up was the hunting place of Persephone ; a large unfinished temple of Zeus Basileus, a temple of Apollo , and another temple, containing statues of Cronus , Zeus, and Hera.
Pausanias likewise mentions a chapel of the Good Daemon and of Good Fortune, where those who were going to consult the oracle first passed a certain number of days.
Pausanias , writing in the 2nd century AD, reported that the original name of the city was Mideia, and that it took its name Lebadeia from Lebados of Athens, who moved the city from high to low ground, to its current location on the banks of the Herkyna river.
At the springs of the Herkyna river are shallow grottos with niches and marble remnants said to be the site of the oracle.
